“Wasting talent is a crime!” Indeed, as reflected by this witty slogan, TalentCrime was initiated to serve as a platform for all Eusoffians to showcase their raw talents.

Held last Thursday, the event undoubtedly proved quite entertaining for those present. The night was brought to a roaring start by the Eusoff Choir witrh the Eusoff Anthem and "What a Wonderful World".
Next up, the International Relations Committee (IRC) did a round of introduction for the wide variety of international food that was prepared for the audience by the committee members themselves.
Our first band performance of the night was led by the new band Soul High with their own rendition of  "Backstreet boys - As Long As You Love me" and "我有初恋了-五月天".

Followed by Jit-vern and his solo performance of "This is the moment", the Individual-category champions DDRRMP to the Z, quickly warmed the crowd up with their rock numbers.

Everyone was mesmerized by the unique performances of the individual groups as well as the various blocks, in particular defending champion B-block’s act – which was completely in a league of its own.

Represented by about 20 B-blockers, this year’s TalentCrime champions gave their all in a laudable performance involving their own brand of video streaming website – EuTube. Complete with a set that resembled a 3-D website, the act provided a wholesome visual and audio experience for the audience.

Publicity for TalentCrime was as impressive as the event itself. For a substantial period of time, the entire Eusoff Hall was turned into a giant crime scene with random demarcations of corpses. Such a literal interpretation of the event added an aura of forensic mystery to it, and contributed immensely to the event’s popularity.

Talent Crime was appreciated by every Eusoffian and even the Resident Fellows expressed unusual interest – now everyone seems to be eagerly awaiting the next showcase!
