Eusoff Bursary

NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE
EUSOFF BURSARY
The Hall invites Eusoff Hall’s residents who are eligible to apply for the Eusoff Bursary. The bursary awarded will take effect in Semester 1, Academic Year 2008/09.
Purpose of Award
To provide either full or partial subsidy towards the cost of hall fees for accepted or current residents of Eusoff Hall from low-income families facing financial difficulties. The bursary is a hall initiative to cover these costs to alleviate the financial burden on the resident so that the resident may be able to focus on the achievement of academic excellence and contribute towards the Eusoff Hall community.
Eligibility Requirements
- The gross monthly household per capita income should not exceed $900.00 and may be revised subject to prevailing economic conditions. Applicants who do not meet this criterion may also be considered under special circumstances to be decided by the Eusoff Bursary Committee.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled or officially admitted into the NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE.
- Applicants should not be a holder of any other form of free aid e.g. grants, bursaries, scholarships. Applicants currently holding any other form of grants/bursaries/scholarships through the University are welcome to apply but they would not be able to hold two or more grants/bursaries/scholarships concurrently and will have to give up the appropriate award(s) once awarded.
- Applicants must be of sound character and exemplary conduct and have a record of active involvement in hall activities or other such university-related activities.
Nature of Award
Applicants who meet the above criteria will be evaluated for one of the following bursary schemes available, which can involve
- a total waiver of hostel fees, or
- applicants to work on a part-time basis for the Hall Office in lieu of hostel fees payments
Selection of Award
The selection process will be conducted by Eusoff Bursary Committee and notified to the applicants by email/letter.
Application
Candidates are to submit the Application Form together with relevant supporting documents to Eusoff Hall General Office by 5 pm on 6 June 2008.
