And so here we were, after an arduous journey, in the soccer finals. Being part of the soccer team myself, I knew how much the guys wanted it, many of whom were playing their last ever IHG for Eusoff Hall. Not only was winning the gold medal for soccer this year worth so much more to those who would be leaving us soon, but it would also be contributing to Eusoff Hall winning the overall guys champion as well as the overall champion hall for IHG since our arch rivals, Temasek Hall, were right on our heels in the title race. Soccer, being the penultimate sport for IHG, is also the sport in which the gold medal has eluded us for at least 8 years, according to the seniors, with Eusoff losing out to Temasek last IHG.

Eleven brave men from Eusoff Hall gathered at SRC Field 1 on a Thursday night, under the glare of the floodlights, hearts racing, sweat running down their foreheads, but they were by no means intimidated by our respectable opponents from Sheares.
