Inter-Hall Games 2011 CHAMPIONS!!!

SPORTS CHAMPIONS AGAIN: true grit and team determination makes for decisive champions

After months of hard work and sacrifice, we are proud to announce that Eusoff Hall has emerged the Inter-Hall Games Champions 2011, having won all the titles this year at the IHG 2010/2011 Closing Ceremony last night (21st Feb 2011): the Dean of Students’ Challenge Trophy for Overall IHG Champions, the Men’s Championship Trophy and the Joint Ladies’ Championship Trophy. With this latest achievement, Eusoff Hall has won the Men’s Championship for six consecutive years (2006-2011) and the Overall Inter-Hall Games Championship for four consecutive years (2008-2011), and for the first time since 2006, the Joint Ladies' Championship Trophy. Indeed, we are truly the home of the Sports Champions in the NUS campus!

Through dogged determination and the indomitable spirit of Eusoffians, our sportsmen and sportswomen have fought their way to success over the past months. Teamwork, better organisation, support and training, training and training - these were all ingredients that went into our collective achievement, even though at times, our opponents’ technical skills threatened to overwhelm us. The undying fervour of our Eusoffian supporters at the sidelines and the stands contributed in no small measure to the team spirit evident throughout the games.

Please join me to congratulate all our sportsmen and sportswomen for their outstanding performance and the leadership of Teo Jia Kai, and countless others. You had the belief that you could be champions in your hearts and you have shared it fully with every member of your team. And sweeping the championships, you have achieved Excellence, and while we uphold the motto of the Hall: Excellence AND Harmony, let us be reminded to be equally gracious as champions.
